Niantic brought back the original IV bars in the new Pokemon GO update! #pokemon #pokemongo #pogo

Pokémon GO has reverted the controversial IV appraisal bar change, bringing back the original thinner bars that trainers have been used to for years.

Just days after many players noticed that the IV bars in the Pokémon GO appraisal screen appeared significantly thicker, the latest update has seemingly reversed the change. Whether it was an intentional experiment, a visual bug, or a response to community feedback, the larger IV bars are now gone and the classic appraisal screen has returned.

In this video, I take a look at the reverted IV bar update and discuss why so many trainers were talking about it. When the thicker bars first appeared, a lot of players disliked the new look and felt it made the appraisal screen feel cluttered or oversized. However, now that the original bars are back, some trainers are starting to realize the new version may have grown on them.

The Pokémon GO appraisal system is one of the most-used features in the game, allowing trainers to quickly check a Pokémon’s Attack, Defense, and HP IVs for raids, PvP, GO Battle League, Team GO Rocket battles, gym defense, and hundo hunting. Because players use the appraisal screen so frequently, even a small visual change can become a major talking point within the community.

In this video we discuss:

* The return of the original IV bars
* The removal of the larger appraisal bars
* Community reactions to the change
* Whether Niantic listened to player feedback
* Which version of the appraisal screen is actually better
* Why even small UI changes can have a huge impact on Pokémon GO players

While the change doesn’t affect Pokémon stats, IVs, PvP rankings, raid performance, or gameplay mechanics, it has sparked a surprising amount of discussion among trainers worldwide.

So now that we’ve seen both versions, which do you prefer? The original thin IV bars, or the newer thicker bars that Niantic has now removed?
