Kyurem is officially returning to Pokémon GO in 5-Star Raids, and Trainers have another chance to battle one of the most powerful Legendary Dragon and Ice-type Pokémon in the game. If you’ve been waiting to catch a high IV Kyurem, hunt for a shiny, or simply stock up on Kyurem Candy and XL Candy, this event is one you won’t want to miss.

Kyurem will be appearing in 5-Star Raid Battles from Wednesday, July 29, 2026, until Tuesday, August 4, 2026, with a special Raid Hour taking place on Wednesday, July 29, from 6:00 PM to 7:00 PM local time. This is the perfect opportunity to team up with other Trainers and grind raids while taking advantage of increased lobby activity.

In this video, I cover everything you need to know before heading into battle, including the 100% IV hundo CP, the weather boosted hundo CP, and the best raid counters to help you defeat Kyurem as quickly as possible.

Hundo CP:
• 2042 CP

Weather Boosted Hundo CP (Windy & Snowy Weather):
• 2553 CP

Best Kyurem Raid Counters:
• Crowned Sword Zacian
• Crowned Shield Zamazenta
• Dusk Mane Necrozma
• Mega Lucario

If you’re lucky, you’ll also have a chance to encounter a Shiny Kyurem after completing your raid, making this a fantastic event for shiny hunters and collectors alike.

Will you be farming Kyurem raids this week? Are you chasing the shiny, a perfect IV hundo, or grinding XL Candy for future fusions and battles? Let me know in the comments below—I always enjoy hearing what everyone is working towards.
